Cradle rolling out on brake drums

Between the last picture and this one, the following has been removed or disconnected: The fuel line, the exhaust system, the emergency brake cable, the power steering lines, the steering drag link, the brake lines, the heater hoses, the radiator hoses and radiator, the shifting shaft, the hydraulic clutch line, the speedometer cable, both front wheels and finally all of the wiring between the coach and cradle (engine).

Once all of these items have been disconnected, the coach body itself is raised in the air from both sides using jacks and jack stands. Once the coach is raised about 18", there are 6 large bolts which attach the cradle subframe to the coach frame. With a large roll around jack supporting the cradle in the center, these 6 bolts are then removed. The cradle is slowly lowered down to the brake drums. The jack is removed, and the cradle is rolled out from under the coach.

I built a special hitch to bolt on to the 4 front center bumper brackets. When this is attached, I use a trailer dolly to roll the cradle out. Once the cradle is clear of the coach, the cradle is jacked back up and the wheels are reinstalled.

See the next picture of the cradle in the garage with the wheels reinstalled.
